These IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) pouches are the real deal from various US government contracts. These are designed to store a IFAK and other medical equipment that you can pull out quickly when you (or others) need it most.

The outer pouch has the usual bells and whistles of most utility pouches – PALS tabs on the back so you can attach it to MOLLE vests, drain holes and a quick release buckle. The only exception is when you open it there is a large insert inside attached with a chord lanyard. You can pull this out and unfold it to ascertain which part of first aid equipment you need quickly without unfurling the contents everywhere. The hard insert board has a large mesh pouch on one side which is designed to carry a common IFAK while the other side has 4 elasticated loops, ideal for storing scissors, bandages, tourniquets or any other first aid equipment.

An ideal foundation for starting your own IFAK in case of emergency. Alternatively with the insert removed these also make for great general utility pouches.
